Pin the things you paste every week, like your address, a signature or a standup template, and give them names so they’re easy to find. Press ⌘P to pin. Pinned clips don’t count toward history limits.
Stop digging through your Desktop. Browse screenshots as thumbnails with a large preview. If you like, Stash can collect new macOS screenshots as you take them.
A wall of URLs is useless. Stash shows a readable title and service icon for each link, worked out on your Mac from the URL itself. Nothing is fetched.

To be clear: history is stored unencrypted with owner-only permissions, not in a vault. Sensitive text that other apps don’t mark as sensitive can still end up in history, so exclude those apps or pause capture when you need to. Read the source →

No. Your clips never leave your Mac, and there’s no account, sync or analytics. History lives in ~/Library/Application Support/Stash/. The only network request is a once-a-day update check to GitHub Releases. It sends no clipboard data or identifiers, and you can turn it off in Settings → About.
Stash skips common password managers and clipboard content that apps mark as concealed. Unmarked sensitive text can still end up in history, so you can exclude apps, pause capture, shorten retention or use session-only history. History files are owner-only but not separately encrypted.

For two optional features: Quick Paste, which pastes your pick straight into the app you were using, and window titles, which show where a clip came from (like the Slack channel or document). Without it, Stash copies the clip and you press ⌘V.
Stash checks GitHub once a day and verifies each update’s signature before installing. New versions show up as a small badge, not a pop-up, and you can turn checks off. Homebrew users can also run brew upgrade --cask augmentedmode/stash/stash.
